Teaching the game we love...
Our mission is to build a premier youth club basketball program both locally and nationally by distinguishing our organization as one that coaches brilliant fundamentals, courageous teamwork and a winning attitude.
Our passion for the game of basketball has resulted in the rich opportunity to share our knowledge with "AZU" players who pursue their goals in the sport we love.
Ben Stryczek - Managing Partner; Coach
Ben, born in Chicago, moved to Phoenix by way of Boston at age seven and has been involved with basketball in the valley ever since. He attended Brophy College Prep locally where he played varsity basketball and graduated in 2005. Ben went on to California State University, Monterey Bay where he graduated college in 2009 with a degree in Psychology.
Ben returned to The Valley of the Sun to pursue a career in business, psychology, and coaching. Coach Stryczek's experience ranges from teaching youth as young as five and up through the high school varsity level, and every age in between. He is currently the Athletic Director at St. Francis Xavier Elementary School. He has also been involved with the the Ironwood High School Basketball program the past four years in various capacities. "Coach Stry" is now attending Southwestern Assemblies of God University where he is earning his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and used his final season of collegiate eligibility to play basketball for the school's team. Coach Stry is currently pursuing his masters degree in Clinical Psychology in hopes of one day working as a Sports Psychologist with premier collegiate and professional athletes. His passion is teaching/mentoring youth about life issues through the game of basketball as well as motivating them to be a team player and do their best.
Talib Uqdah - Head Trainer, Coach
Andrew Taylor - Director of Digital Media
Andrew, born in Western Massachusetts, moved to Arizona when he started at Arizona State University as a freshman in the fall of 2009 to work with the ASU Men's Basketball team. Andrew served as a student manager and assistant video coordinator during his first four seasons with the team, while working on his Bachelor's Degree in Film at ASU. During this time, Andrew wore many other hats for the team, such as Social Media Coordinator, managing the team's website and social media pages, along with creating and helping mange several of the coaches' social media pages as well. His primary responsibility was filming practices and games, and helping edit for film review and team and individual highlights, which is where he developed his skills for ATP (Andrew Taylor Productions), his videography company/service. During Andrew's fifth and final season with the Sun Devils, he was promoted to Administrative Assistant, while still retaining most of his original managerial responsibilities.
We are excited to have Andrew as a member of our AZU staff, as he brings both technological experience and a passion for working with young athletes to help them reach their full potential. Outside the video room, Andrew enjoys playing golf and traveling, which usually coincides with watching his friends play basketball at the collegiate and professional level.
